Shana Ahmad
Associate Attorney
Shana P. Ahmad, Esq. received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Maryland, College Park. In 2002 she received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The University of Baltimore School of Law.
Shana was encouraged and inspired by her professor, a sitting U.S. immigration court judge in Baltimore, to practice law and to be a determined advocate for her clients.
During her second and third year of law school Shana was a law clerk for a busy Montgomery County practice with a wide practice scope, including criminal, civil, and family law. Following Shana’s graduation and acceptance to the Bar of the State of Maryland she began practicing immigration law at The Law Offices of Ismail Laher. She represented clients from the DC/MD/VA region and many clients out of state practicing a federal immigration law practice. She went on to practice for a number of years as a solo attorney upon relocating to Southern Maryland.
Shana speaks Urdu, Hindi and Spanish. She is an avid tennis player and runner. She ran her first marathon, the Richmond marathon, on November 11, 2023. Shana also enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their two children.
